Additional attractions for tourism are the natural beach areas of Tambor, Santa Teresa, and Montezuma. One can visit the Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Reserve, San Lucas, Chira, Tortuga, and Coco Islands. Another attraction is the Monteverde Biological Reserve with many natural sites, picturesque trails, butterfly and frog exhibits. There are gorgeous volcanic landscapes that are a big attraction, but for those living there means Costa Rica is located in a seismically active region. One may experience earthquakes from time to time.
Costa Rica is known for its incredible coffee and is the heart of a prime coffee-bean growing region. The climate across large swaths of the country makes it the perfect place for flavorful beans. There are other agricultural crops that are exported like bananas, pineapples, sugar, rice, palm oil, vegetables, corn and potatoes. Besides agriculture, renewable energy jobs are in high demand and are short and long-term sustainability goals.
One can embrace the local traditions and festivals that are an essential aspect of Costa Rica. The country’s vibrant celebrations have a mixture of indigenous, Spanish and African influences.
There are over 5 million people and growing in Costa Rica. Christianity is the predominant religion but Catholicism is the largest denomination in Costa Rica. The government gives people the freedom to practice the religion of their choice. We hope you can visit this beautiful place.
